Selepas kajian keperluan site prep dikenalpasti, laporan permohonan kelulusan kerja dikemukakan kpd Jabatan Harta . Secara amnya, kerja site prep server room melibatkan 2 keperluan iaitu
Electrical-
Semasa kajian keperluan- pihak vendor telah mengenalpasti dimanakan sumber elektrik yg boleh ditap untuk digunkan pada perkakasan ICS. Iaitu samada:
- Distribution box/tempat switch
- Main switch room – biasanya kat bilik riser. Bilik riser adalah laluan drp bawah k e atas bangunan. Biasanya mengandungi laluan cable letrik dsbnya.
- Sub switch board
DB==>solation(breaker/fius yg turut jadik soket untuk power tinggi)==>UP==>Power distribution Unit(PDU) kat Equipment Rack.
Cable2 letrik akan diletak dalam cable tray(orange color) bawah raised floor supaya tak berselerak.

Semasa kajian tapak dibuat, engineer agak buat kiraan anggaran heat yang dikeluarkan oleh equipment semasa dan equipment akan baru. Secra amnya, 1kaki persegi bilik kosong hasilkan 60 BTU(British Ternal Unit). Berdasar kiraan heat, maka Horse Power(HP) aircond ditentukan spt 1.5HP, gandaan2x1.5 HP dsbnya
simple calculation for cooling is power consumed is heat generated. So if your server room need 60W power then you need to plan HVAC for that heat load. You need to check what capacity of HVAC is required
Perlu 2 unit airocnd . Which works as primary secondary. Dimana akan bergilir2 berfungsi ikut tempoh ditetapkan spt bergili2 setiap 3 jam.
Aircond starter panel –suis on aircond
o Tidak boleh guna central aircond spt diruang pejabat. Ini krn aircond tersebut keluarkan air yg boleh rosakkan equipment. Ini krn central aircond biasanya gunakan udara drp luar.
o Casette aircond =air cond kat siling bilik yg 4 segi sama
o Jika gunkan aircond disiling, pastikan tidak berada di atas rak utk elak kebocoan.
o Aircond Outdoor unit mempunyai saluran air yg dibuang kat Aircond Handling Unit/AHU.
Equipment Rack
Ketinggian Rack adalah mengikut U. Nih gambar
Biasanya Rack ada ketinggian 42U, 30U, 16U(biasanya network rack)
Kena ada KVM-Keyboard Video M

place rack with front facing front and back facing back. Hmm nie ikut konsept macam rumah teres dimana belaknag rack jumpa belakng rack row yg lain. There is no need for cooling between back facing ile. this is called hot ile and this area is suppose to be hot because all server sucks cold air from front and through hot air from back
Saya dah mula semakin enjoy dgn projek ini. Alhamdulillah banyak perkara baru saya belajar dlm projek ini. Tak semua Apps developer ada peluang belajar atau ada pengalaman penyediaan site prep. He he Saya bukan lagi Apps developer, saya dah jadi Project Coordinator. Tapi hati & jiwa masih sbg Apps Dev.
